Services
Animal Sheltering
Our Care Center provides daily food, shelter, and medical care for over 400 lost and abandoned animals annually. Animal Care Technicians clean kennels, socialize animals, and monitor health while awaiting adoption or owner reunification. The facility maintains strict sanitation standards and provides emergency medical treatment through our on-site veterinary clinic.
Pet Adoption
We facilitate pet adoptions through a structured process including animal evaluations, adoption counseling, and post-adoption support. Fees include vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter services. Our staff helps match adopters with suitable pets while maintaining holding periods for owner reunification opportunities.
Vaccination Clinics
Licensed veterinarians administer essential pet vaccinations during scheduled clinic hours. Services include rabies shots, distemper vaccines, and medical evaluations. Appointments operate on a first-come basis with capacity limits to ensure quality care while maintaining safety protocols for staff and pet owners.
Wildlife Rescue
Trained officers respond to calls about injured wildlife, animal cruelty cases, and public safety concerns. We handle emergency rescues of sick or injured animals while providing community education about coexisting with local wildlife through humane deterrence methods.
Humane Education
We provide comprehensive resources about responsible pet ownership, including licensing requirements, spay/neuter benefits, and animal care best practices. Educational materials cover wildlife deterrence strategies and legal responsibilities for pet owners across our service area.

Understand a few things before surrendering a stray you find: 1. This is a kill shelter. Because they cannot refuse a surrender, if required to they will destroy animals as needed. It likely won't happen to the animal you bring in, but it could and you should be aware of that. 2. Once it's surrendered, it's gone. Don't bother trying to find it a forever home yourself because the SEAACA staff will do *NOTHING* to help make that happen if you succeed.
I spent weeks trying to find a home for the stray I discovered while on a road trip, and the staff not only refused to let me know which rescue org had taken it in, but they wouldn't even give the org my information so that they could reach out to me. I had a home all lined up for the pooch, but thanks to the completely unhelpful staff on the phone, he'll never know it. 3. If you call, expect hold times of upwards of well over an hour. Only surrender an animal here if you have no other option. And even then I'd think twice.

Had to get my puppies their first round of shots. The line was long but went quickly. I definitely recommend getting there at least 2 hours before they open as the line begins to form extremely early. And if there is still a line close to their closing time, they will make a cutoff and those left behind will have to go back. Other than that, the service is great and easy!
