My puppy broke her arm right at the elbow which resulted in her needing surgery. Everyplace in Lubbock turned me away except one but couldn't get her into surgery in time. (The place suggested i go to Dallas which the price of her surgery would be more expensive they quoted around 5k in dallas )I called coulter animal clinic and they told me Dr. Hodges has done surgery on puppies and has done this surgery.
I scheduled an exam on a Saturday and they got me scheduled for surgery that upcoming Monday. The surgery was priced fairly good(right below 3k)!If you get turned away for any surgery go to coulter he's the only doctor I will trust when it comes to surgery! I trust him with my puppy from here on out

I recently moved to the Amarillo area. I am so fortunate that I live near this veterinarian clinic. I took my baby in because I knew she needed knee surgery. Wow cannot say enough about their staff and the doctors here. They took excellent care of my sweet little for baby. I relieved all the stress that I had. Thank you guys so much for being incredible!

Just recently adopted a dog and started taking him to Coulter Animal Hospital based on recommendations from my coworkers. I am very pleased with the care my dog received and friendliness and professionalism of the staff and the docs! I ask a bunch of questions and the staff are super patient and kind always!

Waited for 40 minutes past my appointment time because a "package needed to be overnighted" per Dr. Hodges. During the check-up, Dr. Hodges was bickering with the vet tech about not adding notes on the blood work done on my cat. Lastly, I was told my cat was overweight, so I asked how over the average weight he is I was told "well he's a big cat in general, but he is still overweight." I asked if there was any food recommendations for low calorie cat foods and was told "well what kind of cat food do you feed him now?" I answered with the brand and was told "well then just look for the low cal version of that brand."

Dr Hodges saw my dog Pancake for an emergency intestinal blockage surgery during a snow storm. I can't begin to express how grateful I am for him and his entire staff. Everyone I spoke with was knowledgeable and kind throughout the ordeal. The surgery went off without a hitch and Pancake is doing very well. They even made sure to check in on her and corrected a small mistake on my invoice. Thank you again!

This is the place to go if you need an International Health Certificate for your pet! The office staff was super friendly and helpful! They got me in quickly and walked me through every step of the way. I was more than pleased with the pricing, I paid just a fracture of what I was quoted by a approved Vet in Clovis, and one in Lubbock. I felt super blessed by them, and it was a Hassle-Free Experience. Dr. Kinser is super friendly, and made my anxious dog feel very comfortable and at ease. I absolutely recommend the Coulter Animal Clinic. Thank you for everything!

Dr. Kinser is an amazing Vet. We had to put our 11 year old dog down. Dr. Kinser made me feel very comfortable. She explained how everything worked. Gave me as much time as I needed with Kota before she was gone. Dr. Kinser was amazing and I'll never forget her. She even sent a sympathy card a few days later! Highly recommended this vet.

Summary at the end of the review - this is pretty long. The experience we had at Coulter Animal Hospital was absolutely nightmarish. My partner and I both work with animals and have handled cats and dogs for years, and our 3-month old kitten Huckleberry was losing weight and lethargic. We scheduled an emergency appointment here out of a lack of. options, and by the time we arrived he was completely limp. Dr. David Hodges did not introduce himself when he walked in.
He used a thermometer without lubricant, and when our 2.3 lb kitten struggled out of obvious pain, Hodges and the vet tech restrained him with 50 lbs of weight as read by the scale on the table. He then said that he had "no idea".

Visiting my son here for a couple weeks and one of my chihuahuas developed an impacted anal gland requiring a vet visit. I was a little apprehensive bringing her to a "strange" vet but they couldn't have been nicer. Got me in the same day and saw her very quickly. Took care of the issue, gave her meds and the price was reasonable. If I lived here, this would be where I would take my dogs.

My 2 dogs have been diagnosed with kidney failure since 2011. They get homeopathic drops the help support their kidneys, low phosphorus kidney dog food, and an IV of normosol-R on a regular bases. After a vet appointment I asked for a written Rx for dry dog food as back up. (Week prior I was trying to get a refill of dog food but the vet would not approve because the vet I normally see was on vacation even though they have the records of them having kidney problems) At check out I was later told it is a $27 prescription fee for each item that I would want to have.
But they didn't have a problem if I wanted to use their online pharmacy. Vet and front office push their own online pharmacy and would not refill Rx dog food from Chewy.

I have been going to CAH since my Rott was a pup. We've seen Dr. Kinser every time. Today I had to take him because he had an ear infection and Dr Hodges was only available. As soon as I got there my Rott was definitely iffy about Dr. Hodges and he didn't even try to make my dog comfortable and straight with the muzzle (I understand). After that he. was basically talking down and also telling me how to use my shock collar (that we've had training on by my dogs trainer). After we were checking out he noted "i didnt put my notes in because I was making sure he would bite my arm off". If you go to ACH i definitely recommend dr. Kinser.

Dr. Hodges is an excellent vet and surgeon. He's been our vet for 18 years. He's nursed all of our pound puppies and strays to health. He's totally focused on the animal during the visit. You can totally trust him. Carol, the groomer, is the best. The dogs are never traumatized after a grooming and even the most fearful pup comes to love her.

My pup (12 years old) was sent home with a shock collar still around his neck today. Prior, I have loved this place as they are very friendly and helpful, but whoever condones the use of a shock collar on another persons pet, especially without their consent, doesn't deserve to be in this profession. I highly recommend going elsewhere and from now on, asking if the vet condones the use of shock collars on their patients. Absolutely ridiculous.

They have a great, friendly staff. I drop off my dog for grooming regularly and they recognize him as soon as we walk in. It can be nerve wrecking to drop off your dearly loved pets(babies), but they are so sweet and genuine. Yes, Dr. Hodges is dry, but that doesn't change the fact that he is an excellent vet with years of experience under his belt. Dr. Kinser is sweet and also excellent. The staff is great at sending reminders for shots, appointments, check ups, and medications.

Dr. Hodges has taken care of five of my cats. My oldest cat was 19 years old. My first cat broke his leg in a fan belt accident and Dr. Hodges plated his tibia and he lived to be 15 years old. Another one of my cats he treated for hyperthyroidism. He just neutered my six month old kitten and it cost me $140. The previous review is obviously fabricating cost and other information.
