About Us

It started off as a thought; then a prayer. So many companion pets being needlessly killed at our shelters or dying horrific deaths on our streets due to overpopulation. In 1993, the Shamrock Foundation was formed. Our mission then and now; to Spay and Neuter. But the need for our assistance continued to grow and expand.

The Foundation has set up an account to build a financial base to secure the future of our mission, and we need your support to make it happen.
Volunteer Opportunities

Shamrock's main mission is to help alleviate pet overpopulation by offering assistance for pet owners to get their animals spayed or neutered. We also work with groups who are trying to reduce the feral cat population by offering assistance for TNR (trap, neuter, release). We are able to continue with our mission due to the kindness of the local community who give donations and volunteer their time and effort for Shamrock. We serve the area in and around Louisville, Kentucky. We do not have a kennel or shelter, no brick-and-mortar building, and no office to speak of.
