From preventive care options to behavior specialty to full-service and emergency care, the SF SPCA's hospital and field services are committed to keeping your pet happy and healthy. Each year the San Francisco SPCA's programs and services reach 250,000 people, which is nearly one-third of the population of the City. From veterinary services to adoptions and events, the SF SPCA touches almost every part of the San Francisco community. Finn is 2 years old, his silky fur has grown in and he and Cosmo spend all day play-attacking and snoozing.

About Us
Report
It's all for the love of pets! At the San Francisco SPCA, we offer care and protection to animals in need, and we believe all cats and dogs (and the people who love them) deserve access to high-quality veterinary care. As the largest animal shelter in the SF Bay Area and the first cageless animal shelter established in the U.S., we are transforming the way pet guardians and their beloved furry family members access lifesaving resources.

Adoption Counselors are on-site to answer questions and help you connect with the right animal. Please know that some days/times are more popular and there may be a short wait. Now that kitten season is in full swing, we are gearing up for one of our busiest times of the year.
