Our premier pet care services include Overnight and Day Lodging, Doggy Day Camp, Dog Grooming, and we also have a Pet Taxi that can pick up your pets and bring them back home. Your pets will enjoy being our guests and playing in our cheerful, relaxing, country-like setting located on 14 acres just outside Durham city limits. We are the area's only pet resort that has acres of fenced outdoor grassy fields for your pet's play times. Our fences are six feet high and have double gated entry/exit areas for safety and security.

We are a family-owned and operated business dedicated to providing quality care for your family pets entrusted to us. We have been in business since 2005. Our love for pets and the need for quality pet care, including Doggy Day Care, is what contributed to us purchasing what used to be the Durham Boarding Kennel.

Lodging

Let the comfortable accommodations at Sunny Acres Pet Resort be your pet's home away from home. We pamper our guests with lots of love and personal attention and we have the largest suites in the area. Your pets will be very comfortable as they listen to relaxing music in our heated or air-conditioned suites.

Amenities

Personal Play Times are with a person, not with other dogs. The personal play times are in a very large yard with lots of room to play. We recommend signing up for personal play times, even if your pet is old. Not every dog wants to play, but signing up for a playtime gives your pet a change of scenery, fresh air and additional personal attention.

Hours

There is a 3-night minimum for any stay including Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day. You are committed to paying for the number of nights booked for all major holidays and June, July, and August unless you change your dates 7 days prior to your check in date. We have saved that room for your pet and turned others away. Please let us know as early as possible if you need to change your dates. Thank you for your consideration.
