The cornerstone of the veterinary visit is the exam. Unfortunately, our pets can't tell us when they are feeling uncomfortable or in pain. The "tip to toe" exam by the doctor will help uncover hidden causes of discomfort or signs of illness that may have gone unnoticed. We offer traditional radiographs on site and ultrasounds by appointment to help diagnose your pet quickly and safely. While any veterinary clinic can purchase an ultrasound machine, our ultrasounds are performed and read by one of the only board certified radiologists in Kentucky. We know the thought of surgery can be scary. At Clays Mill Vet Clinic we make every preparation to make sure you and your pet are as comfortable as possible. Every pet gets a complete exam on the day of surgery. A complete pre-anesthetic blood panel is performed to check organ function and electrolyte status.
