Pet Obedience Classes
Our pet obedience programs teach essential skills for well-mannered dogs. Using positive reinforcement techniques, we help owners establish clear communication with their pets. Classes run 6-7 weeks with proven results in basic commands and behavior modification.
Nose Work Classes
Nose work programs develop dogs' natural scent detection abilities. These classes improve confidence and mental stimulation through structured scent identification exercises. Available for all skill levels from beginner to advanced competitors.
Reactive Dog Training
Specialized programs address leash reactivity and socialization challenges. Our certified trainers use desensitization techniques to build confidence in dogs and improve owner control. Two progressive levels help dogs adapt to various environments.
Competition Obedience
We prepare dogs and handlers for AKC competition through structured skill development. Programs cover novice through utility levels with focus on precision and handler-dog teamwork. Regular trial preparation sessions included.
Puppy Kindergarten
Early socialization program for puppies 8 weeks and older. Focuses on basic manners, crate training, and positive exposure to new experiences. Seven-week curriculum builds foundation for lifelong learning.

Founder & Lead Instructor
Fran co-founded Master Peace Dog Training in 2001 with her late husband Mike. She specializes in puppy development and has trained thousands of dogs using positive methods. Fran continues Mike's legacy through community education programs.

Mike Masters pioneered agility training in New England and co-founded MasterPeace in 2001. He developed the center's original curriculum and mentored many top agility competitors. His service dog Paxton became a beloved community ambassador.

What training methods do you use?

When can puppies start training?
Puppies can begin our kindergarten program as early as 8 weeks old. Early socialization is crucial for developing well-adjusted adult dogs through controlled exposure to new experiences.
Do you offer private training sessions?
We offer private behavior consultations and customized training plans for dogs with specific needs. These sessions address individual challenges that require focused attention beyond group class settings.
What class sizes do you maintain?
Our group classes maintain a 4:1 dog-to-instructor ratio to ensure personalized attention. This structure allows instructors to provide individual feedback while maintaining socialization benefits of group learning.
Can I observe a class before enrolling?
Prospective students may observe one class session before registration. Please contact our office to schedule an observation during our current session's first two weeks.

Customer service 0. No one picks up. I left messages an email and was just told they were too busy. In order to sign up for class you have to talk to someone too. I guess they don't new clients.

Been coming to Masterpeace for almost 3 years. First for obedience and then for Nose work. My dog loves it there, she looks forward to coming every week. Fran was a wonderful obedience instructor and helped my very shy, scared rescue come out of her shell. Patty is a wonderful Nose work instructor who really knows her stuff! My dog has gained confidence from her training. Highly recommend Masterpeace!

I thought the woman who taught the puppy kindergarten class was abrasive and ineffective. I don't think my dog learned much and I felt like the woman running it got joy out of embarrassing the dog owners. It was an uncomfortable experience and I wouldn't recommend it.

We had our first in-home training session with Ronni and she is amazing! She went above and beyond! We learned so much just from that one session. She took the time and even went on a walk with us. Ronni knows exactly what she's doing. We will be signing up our boy, Red, for nosework classes too. I highly recommend MasterPeace!

This place is fantastic. We have a reactive 2 yo pup that has benefited 10 fold from their reactive dog courses. It's helped our dog become more confident with seeing other dogs and people he doesn't know. I'd highly recommend this place for any training need but specifically the reactive dog training has been a huge help in easing everyone's anxiety including the pups.

This facility is the real deal! We live 40 minutes away and are on our second round of obedience classes. Our energetic puppy loves to learn, so I think we have more classes here in our future. It's worth the trip! Here's what I love about MasterPeace: - Professionally certified trainers (CPDT) who are passionate and knowledgeable - Positive reinforcement methods that reflect the current best practices in dog training - Website that is regularly updated - Good variety and availability of courses year-round - Opportunity to work toward and test for titles from CGC to nosework to agility Here's what you should be ready for: - Honest and straightforward feedback on your handling - Clicker training. It may take a little effort, but your dog can learn SO much faster - Classes of 5-10 dogs. Larger classes have 2 staff members - Participants ranging from newbie dog owners to serious show people
