Healthy local treats of the best quality for your dogs. We can't stock our shelves fast enough with their sweetie pies : And the owner is a wonderful advocate of grey hounds. Tiffany adores going to Bark Stix.

The bf and I came in on a Saturday, not realizing they were already closed for the day but the owner came out as I walked away and let us in anyway. It's a small little space that sells mostly dog stuff (but I saw they also had some cat, fish and bird stuff too). We got to see the spacious back area where the treats are made using the freshest local ingredients. When we were there they were making Sweetie Pies, which our dog Elsie happens to love.
When they came out of the oven it made even us hungry! It's a mixture of sweet potato and chicken. Elsie also goes nuts for Lucy's Short Stix, a mixture of organic while wheat flower, beef liver, rolled oats, carrots, bacon and parsley. I thought it was so cool of the owner to let us in even though she had closed up for the day and I really enjoyed learning about her background and how they got started. Really sweet woman who loves what she does, the passion comes through in her product. Bonus points for 5% of Bark Stix profits donated to the Greyhound Welfare Foundation! :)

I attended an animal adoption event here last year and had a good time! We got to tour the factory portion where the treats are made and meet animals from a few local rescue groups. I don't know if I would go out of my way to visit the store though. I found it to be too expensive for my pocket book and it had a very small selection of products. I'm glad to see that they have so many fans as I definitely support local businesses as well as anyone who helps with animal rescue.
