Our Philosophy
Report
No matter what age your dog is, PCOTC will help your dog become a well-behaved family member. Our instructors are experienced with all kinds of dogs: puppies, adults, seniors, purebreds and mixed breeds.
How To Get Started
Report
PCOTC is an AKC Member Club, started in 1940 in Port Chester, NY but now located in White Plains, NY, near Exit 6 from I-287. The club includes basic training for puppies and dogs-which we call "Family Manners"-along with training in dog sports, including K9 Nose Work, Obedience, Rally, Agility, and some other specialties such as Therapy Dog training.
Introductory Classes
Report
PCOTC recommends all dogs start their training by attending Family Manners Foundation (for dogs 5 months and older), even if they have begun training at home or taken classes elsewhere. In this class, owners will learn to use dog-friendly training methods as they teach their pets to sit, lie down, wait, walk on a loose leash, come when called and more.
Family Manners
Report
Port Chester Obedience Training Club's Family Manners program is based on our belief that training a dog should be a fun, enjoyable experience for all parties, whether your goal is a well-mannered family pet or an obedience champion. For puppies and dogs of all ages, Family Manners classes help to build a happy, lasting bond, and a harmonious relationship between dog and owner.
