His 280-acre kennel facility is designed for gun dog training, featuring 48 individual open-air kennel runs and a 40-acre puppy pen with birds, birds and more birds. Our introductory gun dog puppy training program is not just for puppies. It fits any gun dog that needs more experience with birds, guns and anything hunting related. This flushing and pointing gun dog puppy training program is for pups between the ages of six months and a year-and-a-half. The training program lasts 4-6 weeks at the kennel and includes introduction to gunfire, obedience, and lots of bird contact. Once dogs have had this introduction, a specific training program can be set up for your bird dog.

Field Trials

Competitive pointing dog field trials provide a way for you to enjoy time with your dog outside of hunting season. We compete in trials in the Midwest region from March-June and from August-September. Contact us for more information or to have your dog evaluated for field trial potential.

Fox Run Kennels is a nationally renowned English Setter breeder, but we also offer puppies and started dogs from a variety of other gun dog breeds. 1-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer, white/liver, lightly started, excellent foot hunter.

Boarding

Located between Mora and Hinckley, our kennel has 48 individual 612 runs with private entry and insulated sleeping areas. All kennels are open to the outside with lots of fresh air. Dogs may use dog food at kennel, or owners may bring their own.
