Obedience Training
Our obedience training programs teach essential skills like loose-leash walking, recall commands, and basic obedience. Using positive reinforcement techniques, we help dogs of all ages develop good household manners. The six-week courses include progressive levels from beginner to advanced competition preparation.
Puppy Classes
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy classes focus on early socialization and foundational training for dogs under one year old. The curriculum covers housebreaking, bite inhibition, and basic commands while promoting positive interactions with other puppies and handlers through structured play sessions.
Scent Work
Scent work classes develop dogs' natural olfactory abilities through progressively challenging search exercises. Trick Training

What training methods do you use?
We exclusively use positive reinforcement techniques including clicker training to motivate dogs through rewards and encouragement.
Are aggressive dogs accepted in classes?
We cannot accept aggressive dogs in group classes but provide referrals to professional trainers specializing in behavior modification.
Do you offer AKC certification preparation?
Our Intermediate Manners/CGC Prep class prepares dogs for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test administered at course completion.
Where are training sessions held?
Most classes occur at Dogtopia of San Antonio (5563 De Zavala Rd) with additional trial events at Top Dog Training Center in Helotes.
What vaccination records are required?
Puppies must complete their initial vaccination series plus rabies. Proof of vaccination is required before first class attendance.
How long are your training courses?
