Owner, Eric Rasmussen, opened The World of Wet Pets in 2005 after years of being a hobbyist. He and his team proudly serve the Portland metro area. With over 200 tanks, we are the largest aquarium store in the Portland area that serves both fresh and saltwater hobbyists. We have freshwater fish and invertebrates, saltwater fish and invertebrates, corals, live plants, and all the supplies you may need to make your aquariums thrive. The World of Wet Pets can accept most donated fish if arrangements are made prior to them arriving at the store.

In addition to many plants, we also have all the plant-specific lighting, fertilizers, and aquascaping tools you will need for your plants to thrive. Located at the front of our store are tissue cultured plants, guaranteed to be snail and algae free! We have beginner-friendly tissue cultured mosses and stem plants, but you can also find a few uncommon species like Gramnifolia- a carnivorous, insect eating plant!
