We're building a better animal shelter in a more natural setting, to achieve even more for pets and people. Faithful Friends Animal Society was born out of a moral imperative to expose the mass killing of cats and dogs entering Delaware's publicly funded shelters. For two decades, our advocacy has vastly improved outcomes for shelter animals, saving thousands of easily adoptable, trainable, and treatable pets from certain death. With an unflagging commitment to our mission, we continue to advocate for reform, save lives, and reduce pet relinquishment through our local programs and services.

About
Report
In 2000 a group of local animal lovers began to reveal the problem of pet homelessness in Delaware and expose the animal shelters' reliance on mass euthanasia to free up space for more incoming pets. At that time, 80-90% of the animals entering Delaware shelters did not make it out alive! It would take nearly two decades to change this.
Volunteer / Advocate
Report
Faithful Friends was started in the year 2000 by a group of citizens who knew animals needed a voice. At that time 90% of the animals entering Delaware's publicly funded shelters each year were euthanized. Faithful Friends has led the way to reform animal welfare in Delaware to create better protection for a companion in local shelters and in the home.

Our Pet Food & Supply Bank was created to assist people who are financially struggling to take care of their pets or cat colonies. Our objective is to reduce pet relinquishment due to the cost of care and to support those who feed community cats. We welcome donations of any amount to support this free service.
