Bakersfield's family owned and run natural and holistic pet food store and self serve dog wash. My wife and I opened Self Serve Pet Spa in 2008 in hopes of bringing Bakersfield a place to wash their pet and also offer the best food and treats on the market. We love being that "Ma/Pa" pet store where you feel at home; you can wash your pet, get nutritional advice and share funny pet stories. At our stores, you will find a large selection of raw dog and cat food and one of the best selections of natural pet food, treats and accessories.

Aggressive dogs may be asked to schedule an after hours appointment (please call or ask at shop for more detail). Please be aware of your pet, if they decide to damage, gnaw or mark merchandise as theirs - that item will be considered sold and charged to your bill. Children must always be under the supervision and care of a parent or responsible adult guardian. Please do not allow children to approach unknown dogs.

Are you a "misunderstood" pet or a cat that can't or doesn't want to be around other dogs? Then setup a before hours appointment for only $10 more! Service available Monday to Friday from 9am to 10am with a 24 hour notice. Space is limited. Buster came from the SPCA so he wants your pet smelling clean and feeling healthy when you adopt from the SPCA or local shelter.
