Cowen's Pet Resort is very easy to locate. We're located 6 miles west of the Bakersfield city limits, and about 5 miles east of I-5 on Stockdale Hwy. We are quite convenient for travelers wanting to drop off or pick up their pets on the way to or from their vacation spots, especially to the west. We are just east of the intersection of 43 and Stockdale Highway and our signs are visible from both directions.

All pets need to be groomed, not just long haired ones! Most people think of "grooming" as something that only Poodles and other long haired breeds need. Grooming is far more than clipping- even short haired dogs need general grooming -which includes a thorough brushing, bathing, blow drying, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.

We offer three different sizes of kennel runs to comfortably accommodate dogs of all sizes and activity levels---from the smallest Toy Poodle to the largest Great Dane, and everything in between. We can board more than one dog from the same household in a run together, but for their own safety, we will NOT board dogs from different households together unless requested by both owners.
