Having Shane come into our home was an eye opener for sure! Our rescue pit-bull was acting like he owned the place, being a real jerk, even growling at me occasionally. Shane came over and showed me how to assert my dominance and things I was doing that made my dog think he was in charge. He answered all my question and help me understand how dogs viewed the world around them. Wonderful experience and I will definitely be going back to him for any dog training in the future.

I was ready to give up on our 2 rescues when the Vet recommended Shane, thank God! He got right to the problem, spent an hour and a half with us at the first appointment interacting with them and explaining their behavior. He gave me several tips and exercises and their behavior improved immensely within a very short time. Great trainer!

As first time dog owners, we had no idea what to expect when we adopted our 14 month old, very high energy rescue dog. Before we knew it, we had "another child" that jumped on the counters, jumped on our house guests, couldn't be left alone in a room without tearing something up, and was almost impossible to walk. The disruption to our family was to the point that we weren't sure if we could keep her.
We received a lot of advice, but the best was to invest in a trainer. After several very frustrating weeks, a mutual friend gave us Shane Wisdom's number. Shane explained how we needed to shift our mindset, taught us how to correct the behaviors (the dog's and ours), and showed us how to appropriately discipline our pup. He came prepared with a plan in mind, but then tailored the plan to our needs and adjusted as we progressed.
He was calm and patient with all of us and made himself available for phone calls and questions. We are a work in progress.we still make mistakes.but I can honestly say that, thanks to Shane, Bailey is now a part of our family.we truly enjoy her and we wouldn't dream of letting her go.

We recently had to make the very painful decision to give up one of our dogs. Trying to avoid this at all costs, I was referred to Shane to see if there was anything else we could try. Our first conversation was when I was still emotional over possibly having to give up my dog. Shane patiently talked to me for about 30 minutes reassuring me that we had done everything we could do and trying to help me get comfortable that we were making the right decision.
The next day after finding our new dog a home, I called Shane again for advice. He went out of his way to talk me through how thew owner and I could introduce the dogs to avoid any issues. We have never attended Shane's training classes or Happy Tails, but we are raving fans now who will certainly look to use his services in the future. He did not have to spend the time he did with me, but he spent almost an hour and a half over two days talking to me to help our family and my dog.
When I asked if we could pay him for his services, he declined and said he was just happy to help. We'll be forever grateful for his compassion and his expertise and will refer him gladly to any of our friends.

I can't say enough about how pleased we are to have found Shane Wisdom and his business, Dog Wisdom. Shane was extremely pleasant and helpful with our "special needs" dog and perhaps more important, he quickly observed the role our dog's people were playing in the problems. He came to our home, gave us good, concrete tips we could use immediately and seemed to have an incredible sense of what dogs - and people - need.
His pricing is more than fair and he ended up not even charging us as much as we were expecting. Dealing with him was a delight and I would encourage anyone looking for help with a pet to contact him.
