Do not consider this place for emergency care. I called and scheduled an appointment for my dog. After exam I was given a couple of options, one involving traveling to Winston or Cary for an ultrasound. I asked specifically if the other emergency vet (near I 40 and Guilford College) offered ultrasounds and was told they don't. That's a lie. I spoke to the other clinic and they told me exactly what to do OVER THE PHONE! (I guess that clinic actually cares about their patients!). Thankfully I didn't permit them to perform surgery at an estimated cost of $4000-$6000 plus extra if additional overnights were needed (basically to spay emergently and a "routine spay" is less than $300). They wanted me to sign off on an open account for a spay "because you're an emergency patient".

I found my precious baby girl's veterinarian once again. Dr Evans hands down is the most personable, professional and kind veterinarian hands down in ALL OF GREENSBORO! She relocated from Animal Ark Hospital and they wouldn't disclose her new location. Thank goodness for Google! I suggest anyone looking for a vet to care for their pet to visit Dr. Evans!

I had a good experience with West Market Vet until the pandemic hit. Curbside drop off was common for most Vets in the area, however many have since switched to regular visits. My dog and I had no issues until I took him in for a nail trim, and after bringing him back out, was given a prescription for acepromazine(sedative/tranquilizer) and told he needed to take two before every appointment. This was shocking considering I wasn't given an explanation and my dog has never needed anything like this before.
If you'd like to be able to go in with your animal and see how they are being interacted with, and are against giving your animal heavy sedatives for minor procedures because you aren't allowed to accompany them in so that they're comfortable, this isn't the place for you. Prescribing my dog tranquilizers without a call or explanation from the vet or anyone is what made me change vets. There are other options for those who need or want to go in with their animal. If this doesn't bother you, probably a fine vet. After reading other reviews, if you have a LARGE dog breed, try a vet where you can go in with them, you'll avoid any trouble that way.

LOVE Dr Evans! She's been my vet for several years and I've always been very happy with the care I've received. I live 30 miles from her practice but couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
