TAPS is a shelter of hope for homeless animals. We provide temporary sanctuary and an opportunity for life by bringing companion animals and loving people together. TAPS brings companion animals together through a comprehensive, holistic adoption center complete with community outreach and education, aggressive spay/neuter, rehabilitation and training programs to ensure a loving partnership for life.

Once the application is submitted, our front desk will begin the application review process. The length of the review process can be immediate or take several days based on a variety of factors including animal availability, reference and landlord response, as well as several other factors. If you have not received any feedback within 72 hours, please feel free to call the front desk at (309) 353-8277 x104 to leave a message to follow up. A front desk representative will contact you with an update.

TAPS No-Kill Animal Shelter relies on community support to keep our shelter doors open and save the lives of cats and dogs throughout Central Illinois. Approximately 20% of our income is derived from adoption income and owner surrender fees, and the remainder of our income must come through community donations.
