Kay Animal Hospital is a well established, full-service small animal/exotic veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local specialty practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.

Dr. James E. Kay is a 1969 graduate of the University Of Georgia school of Veterinary Medicine. He has been in Douglas County since 1971 after graduating from Veterinary school. Served two years in the Air Force and one year in Vietnam. He is former Vice President of Chamber of Commerce, former President of the Kiwanis Club and past President of American Heart Association.

Here at Kay Animal Hospital we have always stressed the importance of yearly exams. The exam is the annual visit where your pet, depending on whether they are feline or canine, receives a complete, thorough physical exam, appropriate vaccines, heartworm testing and a fecal exam or deworming. The Practice Manager, Kimberly Kay, has been with Kay Animal Hospital since 2006. She attended Georgia Southern University for two years and later obtained her real estate license as well as her Property & Casualty Insurance license. She joined the team to help her father, her brother, and for her love of animals.
