If you want anything more than routine care, scheduled three months out, don't go here. I'm a 35 year, soon to be former client of this practice due to repeatedly being denied access to urgent appointments. If you need urgent but not emergency care, you can call in at 8AM to try to get one of the few emergency slots they keep open, but it's unlikely you'll be successful. My experience is list we ning to thd phone ring, only to be told by 0804 that there are no appointments available.

Be prepared to be referred to one of the emergency vets (SPEC in Fairfield or SAGE in Concord) even during normal business hours. If your pet needs specialized food, this practice will attempt to force you into using THEIR online shop rather than approving the Rx with an online retailer like Chewy. By law, they have to give you a paper Rx but you have to go pick it up and provide it to the online retailer.

Their online shop is not efficient. I'm still waiting on a prescription food order placed on 4/27. It's 5/9 and allegedly shipping today. Redwood Vet used to be owned by veterinarians who worked there. Now it's owned by Blue River, a corporation

First visit to Redwood Veterinary was really good overall. They were very thorough, and listened to me. Dr. Wright explained everything to me fully and she was kind and compassionate. I felt very comfortable and confident in the diagnostics and treatments recommended. I will continue to bring my cats here for care. The front office and care staff were polite and professional.

To sum it up, Redwood Vet Hosp was there for my 12 yr dog Shorty at his worst time. Dr. Stephaniee Chao was overseeing him and was so attentive to everything my dog needed to get him back to good healthy, as well as the other Dr's, nurses, vet techs to this day. Everyone is friendly and helpful. It's even better that they're close to where I live. I highly recommend them!

Great pet care. My dogs get excited as soon as they see they building. Due to staffing issues, you will not get an appointment as early as you like, but I still wouldn't go anywhere else. When my young pup broke a nail, I sent a picture and received advice. He eventually took care of it himself. So, they are still available for communication. That said, there's always Sage if there's a serious emergency. Redwood Veterinary Hospital is the only practice that will see my dogs. If I leave Vallejo, I will still drive here for their appointments.

I have not used any other vet since I moved to Vallejo in 2010! They are wonderful, knowledgeable, kind, and very professional. I moved to Fairfield in 2016 and still come back to Redwood Veterinary Hospital. There is nowhere else I will take my fur babies. Between October 2018 and August 20, 2020 I lost three fur babies to old age due to the wonderful care they had received over the years from the vets and vet techs at Redwood Veterinary Hospital.

Each time they helped me through the most difficult decisions the of my life. Their compassion was off the charts! Each and every time I got a lovely note of condolence from them. It is true that it's currently more difficult to get an appointment due to covid protocols and staffing shortages. I'm willing to willing to wait because they are worth it!

Great pet care, but be prepared to wait a while. My appointments aren't on time and it's hard to get a vet appointment (three months out, as of this writing). I have experienced this will all other vets since COVID, so I'm not docking them any stars for that. I feel they are reasonable and honest with the treatments they recommend. I've also (due to COVID) overheard some staff/patient interactions in the parking lot. I can say that they have a great bedside manner, especially with families whose pets are at the end. They are compassionate with people and animals.
