Retail Store

We offer pet-safe toys, furnishings, and food from trusted brands and our handmade line. Products use non-toxic materials, with bird toys crafted from local woods and cat items emphasizing durability. Guests can trial products before purchase.

Webcams

Live webcams allow 24/7 viewing of pets with pan/tilt controls and night vision. Bird webcams require check-in passwords, while cat webcams are accessible with the password 'parrot'. Owners receive daily diaries documenting their pet's activities.

Custom Care Plans

We accommodate special needs through medication administration, dietary preferences, and behavioral considerations. Shy pets receive non-intrusive interaction, while flighted birds have secure play options. All stays include customized enrichment activities.

Emergency Services

What makes your boarding different from traditional kennels?

We offer species-specific environments: themed cat suites with climbing structures and aviaries with HEPA-filtered air for birds. Our focus on enrichment and 24/7 monitoring ensures personalized care.

Can I bring my pet's special diet or medications?

Yes, we accommodate special diets and administer medications. Prescription diets require owner-provided supplies. There's no extra charge for bringing your pet's food.

How do you handle emergency situations?

We contact owners immediately and transport pets to their preferred vet or emergency clinic. A credit card is kept on file for urgent medical expenses.

Are there size or breed restrictions?

We accept all cat breeds and most bird species. Flighted birds must stay in cages if they pose safety risks. Umbrella and Moluccan cockatoos are currently not accepted.

Can I visit before boarding my pet?

We encourage pre-visit tours to familiarize pets with the environment. Paperwork can be completed in advance to streamline check-in on arrival day.

I'm so grateful my mom found this place! She and I needed to board our respective kitty cats for several days, and we're both beyond pleased. My cat needs medication twice a day, and it was very reassuring to know that Paris was familiar with it. Esme also helped my cat check in, and she's was very sweet. Getting those witty and cute e-meows really made my day. Being able to see inside the rooms with the cameras is a brilliant idea.

At the end of the stay you get a "diary, " a detailed report of how your pet behaved each day, and how the staff interacted with them. There's easy parking, too. Thank you to all the staff from the bottom of my heart.

I may have left another review but each time i bring my Goffins cockatoo in for a stay, she gets excellent care. The staff is truly caring, kind patient and will follow directions for eating patterns and cage set. There is no where else I trust to manage my quirky bird!

We boarded our two cats for a week. Really appreciated all the care they received. The online cameras were appreciated to see how the cats were doing. Both cats needed meds and were well taken care of. They care for the animals and it shows. We will be back and recommend highly to friends and family.

The Purring Parrot is very professional and extremely affordable for cat boarding. They will administer medications with no extra charge (including subcutaneous injections) and check in on your pet multiple times a day. Webcams are always available and they have night vision as well. We have boarded with them several times without issues.

My kitten was so happy when I picked her up after a few days at Purring Parrot! She got a ton of play time, got to have all of her own toys and food, and there was even a camera to check on her. The staff were so friendly and caring. The rooms are spacious, clean, and fun (she got the music room). I will absolutely bring my cat back here in the future; it was absolutely worth the affordable cost and the peace of mind that she was well cared for.

Love taking my cat to Purring Parrot anytime I go out of town! All of their kitty suites are themed, have lots of purches and toys, and I love that they have cameras. Plus there are so many rooms! My cat has probably stayed in at least half of them lol. The staff is always super attentive and friendly, and I've never had any issues.

I boarded my cat at the Purring Parrot for two weeks while I was overseas on vacation waaaay back in 2014 and I realized today while recommending them to a friend that I had never written a review for them back then! So here it is: This place is fantastic. They took perfect care of my furbaby, and I really enjoyed the peace of mind of being able to check on her myself on the webcam. If you are going somewhere and want to feel absolutely sure that your pet will be well cared for, this is the spot.
