Hidden Valley Obedience Club

We founded the Hidden Valley Obedience Club in 1986 with a clear mission to promote responsible companion dog ownership and participation in obedience sport activities. Our operational history spans decades, and we have consistently served the North San Diego County community with dedication. We advocate for positive communication, care, and training that prioritizes the maximum physical and mental well-being of every dog. Our volunteer instructors are highly skilled individuals who frequently update their expertise through continuing education classes and seminars. Most of our instructors have earned multiple titles in obedience competition, demonstrating their deep practical experience. Several of our teaching staff are members of the National Association of Obedience Instructors and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

We ensure a proper fit of the dog into the family environment, fostering harmonious relationships. Our commitment to professional standards is reflected in our regular testing for the AKC's Canine Good Citizenship program. We actively contribute to the broader community by participating in canine education and demonstrations for local events. We also conduct an annual AKC-licensed obedience trial every June, showcasing our long-standing authority in the sport. Our training grounds are completely fenced and lit at night, providing a safe and secure learning environment for all participants. We are steadfast in our commitment to advancing positive communication and responsible dog training.
