We are Rabbitears Pet Supply, an all-volunteer rescue and pet support service based in Oakland, California, with a dedicated focus on the welfare of rabbits and guinea pigs. For years, we have operated with a mission to rescue vulnerable small animals and connect them with safe, loving forever homes across the Bay Area. Our team brings specialized expertise in small companion animal care, including professional grooming services tailored to the unique needs of rabbits and guinea pigs. We offer rabbit nail trims, anal gland cleaning, brushing, and guinea pig nail trims to support optimal foot and overall health for pet owners in our community. All of our services are designed to address common care gaps for small herbivore pets, with clear guidance provided to every client to support long-term pet wellness. In addition to rescue and grooming services, we operate a curated retail space stocked with high-quality, nutritionally appropriate products for rabbits and guinea pigs. Our inventory includes fresh, hand-selected hay varieties, fortified pellet foods, healthy treats, supplements, bedding, and enrichment toys sourced from trusted brands.
We adhere to strict professional standards for all animal care and product offerings, ensuring every item we sell and every service we provide meets the highest quality benchmarks. A core part of our operational model is full transparency: 100% of proceeds from our retail sales directly fund animal rescue, medical care, food, and safe housing for animals in our care. We prioritize client satisfaction by offering flexible appointment scheduling for all grooming, adoption, and volunteer opportunities, with clear communication at every step of the process. Our team is deeply committed to supporting both the animals in our rescue and the local pet owner community, with accessible hours and a central Oakland location to serve more residents. We also offer free compost to local farmers and gardeners as part of our commitment to reducing waste and supporting the broader Oakland community.

Well my initial call was for to adopt two pet rabbits They responded immediately The conversation was very polite & informative Unfortunately they are not allowing interviews until the end of April & welcomed me to set up & appointment at that time They were very nice & thoughtful I'm not buying an "Easter rabbit " but pets So I'm willing to wait although I've already bought my hutch etc I appreciated the hospitality They have great info on how the process works & seems like they really want these rabbits have good homes That I appreciated! So if you are looking for any pet to adopt I think you will be pleased Will let everyone know when I can bond with my rabbit & how it worked

Rabbit Ears Rescue were incredibly helpful and responsive when I contacted them about a potential need for an emergency boarding of pets for a client escaping domestic violence. They clearly had high standards of care for the pets they board and while we did not end up requiring their services, I would recommend them highly.

Great hay and a beautiful vibe. If you have a rabbit in your life, and you live nearby, this is a great place.
